Despite these devastating losses, Ayub (A.S) remained steadfast, expressing gratitude to Allah, acknowledging, “The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away.”
The calamity deepened when Ayub (A.S) faced the tragic loss of his children. His seven sons and daughters died in a single devastating event. The grief of losing his children was unbearable, yet Ayub’s faith did not falter. He accepted God’s will, uttering the words, “We belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.”

His body was covered with painful sores, making him unrecognizable. This illness forced him into isolation, and people began to shun him, fearing they might contract his disease. As their circumstances became increasingly dire, even Rahma was turned away by those who feared Ayub’s illness. In a moment of desperation, she sold her hair to buy food for their survival. Witnessing her sacrifice and the depth of their suffering, Ayub (A.S) made a heartfelt supplication to Allah, acknowledging his illness and pleading for mercy.
Allah, pleased with Ayub’s steadfastness, accepted his prayer. He instructed Ayub (A.S) to strike the ground with his foot. When he did, a spring of pure, cool water burst forth. Upon drinking from it and bathing in it, Ayub (A.S) was miraculously healed, both physically and spiritually.

With his health restored, Ayub (A.S) returned home, where his wife could hardly recognize him. In disbelief, she questioned whether he had seen the man who had once been her husband. Ayub (A.S) revealed his identity, and in that moment, they both rejoiced in Allah’s mercy.
Allah blessed Ayub (A.S) abundantly for his patience. He was granted new wealth, double the prosperity he had previously enjoyed, and new children to fill his home with joy.
